NoteThe strain from which the ultrastructural data was generated was initially identified as Auricularia auricula-judae (as given in the publications cited below). However, a re-examination of the material (using molecular techniques) used for study prove that the fungus is Exidia crenata (Greg Thorn, unpublished).
